In an effort to strengthen the synergy between industry and education, ecommerceloka, a Bali-based hospitality e-commerce startup, has officially established a partnership with IDB Bali (Bali Institute of Design and Business). The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was carried out on Thursday, February 27, 2025, and is an important milestone in the collaboration of developing young human resources in the business and digital fields.

This signing was carried out directly by Mr. Nico S Wiratama, as Co-Founder & CEO of ecommerceloka, together with the leadership of IDB Bali, which is known as a higher education institution based on design and digital business with rapid growth in Bali. This collaboration is focused on providing real contributions in producing digital talents who are not only academically superior, but also ready to enter an industry that is constantly changing and developing.

As a company that has partnered with more than 300 hotel and villa properties throughout Indonesia, ecommerceloka understands very well the industry's need for adaptive, creative human resources with relevant digital competencies. Therefore, collaboration with educational institutions such as IDB Bali is considered a strategic step that can push Indonesia's digital hospitality ecosystem to the next level.
"ecommerceloka is committed to continuing to increase awareness and quality of education in the fields of business and digital, especially in the context of e-commerce. This collaboration is part of our vision to continue to foster and open up space for young talents who want to grow with the Indonesian digital industry," said Nico S. Wiratama, Co-Founder & CEO of ecommerceloka.

IDB Bali as an educational institution that focuses on developing creative skills and digital entrepreneurship, welcomes this collaboration as a real step in providing industry experience to students from an early age. This collaboration is believed to open students' insights into best practices in the industry and foster a work mentality that is ready to use after graduation.
This collaboration is not only ceremonial, but is the beginning of a long-term collaboration that is expected to contribute to the development of superior human resources in the digital field. Both ecommerceloka and IDB Bali realize that the success of digital transformation in Indonesia is highly dependent on the readiness of talents who are able to follow market and technology dynamics.

With the challenges and opportunities that continue to grow in the hospitality industry, synergy between education and industry players is key to making Indonesia not only a user market, but also a center for digital innovation that actively creates technology-based solutions. With the signing of this MoU, ecommerceloka and IDB Bali are committed to supporting and innovating each other in creating a strong and competent young generation of Indonesian digital. Digital transformation will only be successful if supported by ready human resources, and this kind of collaboration is an important part of building that foundation.
