Jakarta, July 10, 2025 – ecommerceloka is proud to announce its participation in the FutureTech World Cup Indonesia Regionals, part of the World AI Show 2025. Organized by global company Trescon on July 8–9, 2025, at the JW Marriott Jakarta, the event serves as a key meeting point for technology leaders, startups, investors, regulators, and industry players focused on the development and implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) in the Southeast Asia region.
World AI Show Indonesia 2025 is not only part of a series of prestigious global conferences, but also plays a strategic role in supporting national agendas such as the National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence (Stranas KA) and Indonesia Vision 2045. With the theme "Voices of AI," the conference serves as a cross-sector collaborative platform to accelerate an inclusive and responsible digital transformation.
Over the two days, the event featured various discussions and pitching sessions on topics such as ethical AI, GenAI in the enterprise, AI-based financial fraud detection, cybersecurity, and the future of work. A lineup of prominent speakers from the public and private sectors, including Prof. Hammam Riza (President of KORIKA), Vincent Iswara (CEO of DANA Indonesia), and Wilbertus Darmadi (CIO of Toyota Astra Motor), reinforced the forum's relevance and quality.
As part of the World AI Show program, the FutureTech World Cup – Indonesia Regionals served as a preliminary selection stage, bringing together 13 of Indonesia's most promising startups to compete and present their innovative solutions before an international panel of judges and industry stakeholders. From hundreds of applicants, only 13 startups were selected to "take the spotlight," including ecommerceloka.
The startups selected for this competition represented various technology sectors such as AI, digital infrastructure, healthtech, smart cities, and climate tech. In addition to ecommerceloka, several other companies participated, including: Serenic.ai, Tenang.ai, Curaweda, Mebiso, Metasmesta, Dolan, HypeIT, Momofin, FeedSnap, and Fineksi.
Led by Nico S. Wiratama, Co-Founder & CEO of ecommerceloka, the pitch session introduced digital solutions aimed at empowering local properties such as hotels, guesthouses, and independent villas in Indonesia. The platform developed by ecommerceloka focuses on improving direct booking performance, managing online sales channels, and digitizing operations without having to rely solely on large OTAs.
ecommerceloka's participation in this prestigious forum reflects our commitment to continue being part of the technology ecosystem that drives the advancement of local tourism and properties in the digital era. We believe that technology adoption should be accessible to all industry players, including small and medium-sized enterprises, which are the backbone of Indonesia's tourism economy.
"The opportunity to present at the World AI Show 2025 validates our vision of driving relevant and impactful digitalization for the local hospitality industry," said Nico S. Wiratama. "We are even more motivated to continue innovating and contributing to building a smarter and more inclusive future for the Indonesian property and tourism industry," he concluded.
